I'm Jon Casemore and I'm the director of Keen Solutions. I've been working in the Business Intelligence community since 2000 for various companies and clients that include well known names such as Carphone Warehouse, Sony Computer Entertainment, Legal & General, ING and Barclays.

My core skills centre around the technical delivery of Business Intelligence solutions on the Oracle platform utilizing the Informatica product suite, particularly Powercenter, of which I have many years of experience of development, architecture, administration and support. I have a rich understanding of PLSQL development methods, as well as many years of experience across in the methods and scripting of UNIX.

I am versatile in my development approach, having much experience of the classic Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) methodologies. I have comfortable committing myself to any mode of working and I offer flexibility and enthusiasm to all of my projects. I am a strong believer in software development principles, particulary those around reuse, scalability, error handling, 'keeping it simple', and requirements driven analysis, development and testing. I am also passionate about driving better information through data quality.

I am an advocate of professionalism in everything I do and I believe that great teamwork can produce higher quality (and often lower cost!) products.

  • Jon worked on several of my projects at Carphone in particular a difficult one integrating with 3rd party software. He was a key member of the team and was well respected by his peers. He developed a good project relationship with all of his key stakeholders and was equally comfortable talking to his technical colleagues as well as to non-technical/business colleagues.I would welcome the opportunity to work with him again

    Mark Lane, Carphone Warehouse

  • I worked with Jon for almost two years and I found him to be a very conscientious and dependable member of the team. With Jon I could rest assured that the task will get done on time with the quality desired without any stress. With his expert ETL skills and can-do attitude he has been able to tackle may complex data movement scenarios. He got on very well with the team and has made significant contributions to standardizing code

  • Jon joined ING Direct at a time when the Information Management department was expanding and the number of information marts and ETL jobs run against the Data Warehouse were growing quite quickly. Thanks to his very strong ETL and Oracle skills the team were able to keep on top of these changes and keep delivering the reports the business needed on a daily basis.

He was always a pleasure to work with and proved himself particularly proficient in the use of a software tool, Informatica, that was thrust upon him.He has gone into to become a recognised expert in his field and to this day he is still the person that I go to when I am researching Informatica in the BI space as he has great thought leadership in this area.
